Tiger girls defeat Pine Island

The Lake City Tigers girls basketball team traveled to Pine Island on Jan. 26 to take on the Panthers for the second time this year. In the first meeting Dec. 22, the Panthers came away with the win.
Pine Island scored first but the Tigers came back with a basket from Mya Shones. The Tigers took a 10-2 lead in the first half and kept the momentum going into the locker room with a 28-19 lead, on a buzzer beater from Shones.
