Tiger girls lose close game to Caledonia
The Lake City Tiger girls basketball team was in the Hoops Challenge over the weekend held at Byron High School against the Caledonia Warriors.
The Tigers got off to a slow start and the Warriors took a quick 0-9 lead, then Ella Matzke drove to the basket and got fouled on her shot, sending her to the line for 2. She converted 1 of 2 shots for the Tigers and got them on the board.
But the Warriors held nothing back and got another quick basket on the Tigers. Lake City Coach Drew Olinger took a time out to talk things over with the girls.
