Tiger girls soccer beats Bombers

Thursday evening, Sept. 15, the Lake City girls soccer team hosted the Cannon Falls Bombers.

Lake City began the game playing confident soccer while dominating the midfield. The Tigers patiently waited for an opportunity to strike when freshman Delilah Benjamin saved a ball from crossing the attacking endline and passed it to the feet of sophomore Sadie Sanders who one touched the ball to the back of the net. The advantage was short-lived when Cannon Falls was able to finish a shot that was bouncing around the Tiger’s defense for too long.
