Tiger girls tennis wins semis over Stewartville
The Lake City Tiger girls tennis team cruised past Stewartville 5-2 in the Section 1A semifinals Oct. 8 en route to the championship round.
It was a clean sweep in the singles bracket for the local Tigers.
Ava Wallerich comfortably defeated Sydney Clausen of Stewartville 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.
Ashley Thieren was in control at No. 2 singles defeating Sydney Becker 6-2, 6-1.
At No. 3 singles, Emma Brunkow stormed to a 6-1 first set win and then earned her point in a 7-5 win in the second set over Kendall Clausen.
