Tiger tennis tandem to play in second state tournament
Tiger tennis players junior Ashley Thieren and sophomore Ava Wallerich are no strangers to playing doubles together for Lake City. They made their first trip to the state tournament in 2015 as doubles partners.
Their strong play in the section tournament in 2015 landed them in a true second match in which they defeated Maddie Adel and Sarah Modrak of Cannon Falls to clinch a state tournament berth. Prior to that experience they had only played as partners on junior varsity.
