Tiger wrestlers win quarterfinal round, 1st time since 1997

The Lake City Tiger wrestlers defeated Byron by a landslide last Thursday night in their first section tournament of the season. The score was 57-13, with six pins making the match impossible for Byron to come back from.
Saturday, the team faced three-time defending state champion Kasson-Mantorville (K-M) once again, and unfortunately, the KoMets proved too powerful, as they won 58-3. Jon Harvey (106) was the only Lake City wrestler to win his match as the team’s season came to a close.
