Tigers come up one play short in state championship game

Lake City’s quest for a fourth state championship in school history came up one play short as the 2023-24 season finished in dramatic fashion at Williams Arena Saturday night.

The Tigers had the ball with 9.3 seconds remaining trailing by two, but a steal by Breck and subsequent two free throws with 2.5 seconds left sealed the Mustangs’ first state championship.
