Tigers roll past namesake Stewartville in HVL contest
The calendar may have turned to 2018, but the recipe for success for the Lake City boys’ basketball team remains the same. After knocking down 341 three-point field goals in the 2017 calendar year, Lake City kicked off the new year by hitting 13 triples in a 73-54 road victory at Stewartville on Friday night.
Lake City never trailed in the contest and opened the game on a 13-5 run over the first 7:18 to prompt a timeout by Stewartville. Zach Bremer, Reid Gastner and Nathan Heise each hit a three-pointer as the visiting Tigers got off to a great start.
