V-ball Tigers bow in first home match
The Lake City High School girls volleyball team opened it’s season with a home match against Plainview-Elgin Millville (PEM) Aug. 27.
The Bulldogs beat the Tigers in four games, leading the charge in the first two games 17-25, 9-25. Lake City came back and edged PEM in the third game 25-23. Then the Bulldogs finished off the series with a tight fourth game 26-28 to win the match.
Senior middle hitter Madi Green had six kills and four blocks for the Tigers. Junior outside hitter Daynalyn Jostock finished the night with six kills and four ace serves.
