Veronen advances to state, other strong performances recorded at Section 1A meet
This year’s Section 1A Track and Field Championships was held at Triton High School June 8 and 10.
Senior Ashley Veronen returns to the state meet for the third time. In 2018 she advanced in the high jump and the 300 hurdles. That year at the State Meet she finished 9th in the 300 hurdles and 15th in the high jump. Then in 2019 she advanced in three events: the 100 hurdles, the 300 hurdles, and the high jump. Veronen placed 6th in the 100 hurdles, 13th in the 300 hurdles, and 16th in the high jump at the 2019 State Meet.
