Events attempt to raise awareness, reduce stigma to prevent suicide

Hundreds of students and community members attended one of two suicide prevention events at Lincoln High School on Jan. 10.

That morning, students gathered in the auditorium to watch “My Ascension,” a documentary about Emma Benoit’s recovery from a suicide attempt at age 16. She’s now a motivational speaker focused on suicide prevention.
